Cortes is a Telegram bot that remembers the conversation, plays games with the group, draws and removes spam. We built the bot and its site, and over 1,000 people use it.

The task

Build a Telegram bot that lives right inside the conversation: it answers questions, remembers what a chat agreed on, plays with the group, handles photos and voice and keeps a group in order. And build it a site that shows the bot in action within a minute, answers search queries about each feature and leads people to Telegram.

Strategy

The bot works where people already talk and never makes them learn commands: Cortes understands plain phrases and picks the right one of its 136 commands itself. The site handles the first meeting and search: the home page shows the bot at work in a live chat, and each feature, game and group task has its own page for a search query.

The work, area by area

Telegram bot

Answers in plain words: fresh information with links to sources
Conversation memory: agreements and facts from the chat history, recaps for a chosen period
Separate memory per chat: what is said in a work group does not surface in a private chat
Media: drawings on request, edits to a photo you send, screenshots, voice messages to text, PDFs
Four games in a mini app: checkers and chess against a friend or the bot, tic-tac-toe, Wordle in Russian
Group moderation: ad and spam removal, a captcha for new members, warnings, mutes and bans, an action log
136 commands, Russian ones such as /бан, /мут and /варн included; the bot picks the right one from a plain phrase

Why this way: Nobody in a group chat reads a manual, so the bot answers ordinary speech and the commands stay for those who like them. Memory and recaps answer the main question of a busy chat: what was decided while I was away.

Why this way: A live chat shows the bot faster than any description. A page for each feature and task answers a search query such as “how to remove spam in a Telegram chat” and leads straight to Telegram.

The text of all 18 pages is served as ready HTML and reads without JavaScript
Schema.org markup on every page: organization, app, breadcrumbs, questions and answers
A sitemap of 18 addresses, with service sections closed to indexing
A first load of 514 KB on the home page; Yandex Metrika is the only third-party script

Why this way: Search engines and AI assistants read the page without running scripts, and the markup tells them that Cortes is an app in Telegram and which questions each page answers.

The thecortes.ru site shows the bot in action: on the home page you can tap a reply and see the answer, and every feature, game and guide has a page of its own. Below are the home page section by section and two inner pages.

Client review

I did not expect this: 1,000 people already use the bot.
I never bet on it at all, I just wanted a bot for my own convenience and turned to HEXIS. They did it better than anyone expected. The site came out amazing too, better than I expected, even though all I said was: “Just do it the way you feel it”.
