The stages and what happens in each
The project is split into stages, each with a clear result. You pay for the first stage, then for each next one after signing off the previous.
Once a week we show what's done on a live staging environment. You look at the working product and can change course at any time.
| Stage | What happens | What we need from you |
|---|---|---|
| Assortment and processes | How your products, stock, payment and delivery work. | A product spreadsheet or export, payment and delivery terms, access to your inventory software if you have it. |
| Purchase prototype | The path from home page to payment, tested before design. | Go through the prototype as a buyer and say where it gets awkward. |
| Design and build | Catalog, product pages, cart and admin. | Product photos and the logo, feedback at the weekly demos. |
| Integrations and launch | Payments, inventory, shipping and test orders. | Contracts with the payment provider and the delivery service, a test order of your own before launch. |
Timeline and price at HEXIS
A “from” price is the smallest scope in a package. The sum and the timeline for your store are fixed in the contract together with the scope.
Paid separately, directly to the services: the domain and hosting, the platform subscription if the store runs on Shopify, and the fees of the payment provider and the delivery service.
| Package | Price | Timeline | What is included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Store | from $800 | 1–2 weeks | Up to 500 products, payment and shipping, admin panel |
| Store + inventory | from $1,300 | 2 weeks | 1C sync, customer accounts, feeds and marketplaces, loyalty program |
What the store includes
- Catalog and filters. Categories, filters and search that handle thousands of products.
- Product page. Photos, variants, stock, reviews and a frequently-bought-together block.
- Cart and checkout. Two-step checkout, online payment, promo codes and installments.
- Inventory. Stock and price sync with 1C or MoySklad.
- Shipping. Shipping rates and order statuses from delivery services.
- Marketing. Feeds for ads and marketplaces, abandoned carts and e-commerce analytics.
Shopify or a custom build
Shopify is the choice when products, payment and delivery work in the usual way: the platform already handles the catalog, the cart and orders, so the launch is quicker.
A custom build on Next.js is needed when the store has logic the platform lacks: special prices for wholesale clients, complex inventory, exchange with several company systems. Either way the store, the domain and the accounts are in your name.
What to prepare before the start
- A product list: names, prices, specs, variants such as size and colour. An export from 1C or MoySklad or a plain spreadsheet will do.
- Product photos. The same background and format keep the catalog tidy. If there are no photos, plan the shoot before the launch.
- Delivery and return terms: cities and zones, cost, times, delivery services, pickup.
- Payment methods. The payment provider reviews the store before it switches on online payment, so it is best to apply on the first stage.
- Who will run the store: add products and handle orders. We set the admin panel up for these people and record guides for them.
What sets the timeline
- How ready the product data is. If the spreadsheet and photos are gathered along the way, the launch waits for them.
- The link to inventory. Syncing stock and prices with 1C or MoySklad adds setting up and testing the exchange, which is why the “Store + inventory” package takes 2 weeks.
- The number of distinct pages and flows. A hundred product pages on one template are quicker than wholesale, subscriptions and a product configurator in the same store.
- Languages and currencies. Each language means translated product pages, a layout check and search settings.
- How fast decisions come. The weekly demo keeps the pace when feedback on it arrives within a couple of days.
When something smaller is enough
- One product or one service. A landing page with a lead form is enough: from $200, 2–5 days.
- Your buyers are already in Telegram. A catalog with a cart and payment can be a Telegram mini app: the “Storefront” package from $400, 4–5 days.
- You sell through Instagram and chats, and orders are still few. A store is needed once orders get lost in chats and questions about price and stock take up the whole day. What changes with the move is described on the page for Instagram shops.
Example: the PetSwiss store
PetSwiss is an online store for a Swiss chain of pet shops that the studio designed and built from scratch. Products: 8,641, branches: 80, languages: 2.
The store is built around choosing: a buyer picks an animal, narrows the choice with filters or searches by name, brand and photo, and the product page shows the price per kilogram, the delivery date and stock in the branches up front.
Launch and after
- Before launch we run test orders with payment and delivery and check the store against a checklist: speed, mobile layout, forms, integrations.
- For the first 30 days we fix bugs in the delivered work free of charge. New features, changes and growing the store run on a subscription.
How to get an exact quote
Fill in the brief: four short steps, about three minutes. Describe the assortment, how sales run now and what the store has to connect to. Within a working day we send a solution and an estimate with the price and the timeline.
